From Simplicity to Fluidity

 We started our initial design of using lines & forms from the architectural language to the urban plaza taking into consideration of the restriction of emergency vehicular access and fire engine platform that cut across space. There was also a consideration to maintain a flexible space for holding different events.  

 

From a minimal design approach of the multi-purpose urban plaza, we tested the design with "rain drops" idea, creating a unique pattern on the ground from a range of grey  tone paving. We also tested out a simplified form in geometric arcs representing waves and water flowing through space.
